This painting from 2011 by the elder brother of Carlos and Miguel was completed a year before he passed away. Victor Hugo pioneered the brothers signature poster style and was an inspiration and mentor throughout their lives. He moved to New York from Colombia in 1969 to pursue an art career. His paintings are defined by their modernist style with abstracted geometric text, usually the name of a place.
